Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 26 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Kognitiv Learn, a structured learning and assessment platform for O-Level and A-Level students and teachers. Please read them. They are short and written to be understood.
Acceptance
By creating an account or using Kognitiv Learn, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Kognitiv Learn. If you are under 18, you should use the platform with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf where required by law.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Give accurate information when signing up, and tell us promptly at support@kognitivlearn.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Licence to use the platform
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Kognitiv Learn for your own study or teaching. Commercial use, redistribution, or resale of the platform or its content is not permitted without our written agreement.
Acceptable use
To keep the platform fair and safe for everyone, you agree not to:
- Scrape, copy, or bulk-download platform content.
- Share your account or login details with others.
- Resell or republish our content, feedback, or materials.
- Upload unlawful, abusive, or infringing content.
- Interfere with the platform's security or operation.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
Content ownership
Past-paper questions and mark schemes belong to their respective examination boards where applicable. Our summaries, structure, organisation, notes, and generated feedback are the property of Kognitiv Learn. Work you upload remains yours; you give us permission to store and process it to provide the service.
AI feedback disclaimer
AI-generated marking and feedback is an assistive study tool. It may contain errors, and it is not an official mark, a prediction, or a guarantee of any grade or exam outcome. Always check important work against official mark schemes or with a teacher.
Payments and renewals
Subscriptions are digital services sold through our payment provider, Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. We never see or store your card details. Prices are shown to you in your local currency at checkout, inclusive of any taxes Paddle is required to collect.
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribe, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the Subscription page in your account settings, or by emailing support@kognitivlearn.com. Cancelling stops future billing; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are handled under our Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy, which gives you at least 14 days from your first payment to request a full refund.
AI checks and monthly allowances
An AI check is one submission of your handwritten working for AI-assisted marking against the mark scheme for that question part. Each paid plan includes a monthly allowance of AI checks: EduPlus includes 500 per month and EduPro includes 1,000 per month. The Free plan includes a one-off allowance of 10 AI checks.
Unused AI checks roll over to the following month for as long as your subscription stays active, and there is no cap on the balance you can build up. Rolled-over checks are not cash, have no monetary value, and cannot be refunded, transferred or exchanged. If your subscription ends or lapses, any remaining balance is forfeited. We may introduce a cap or an expiry period in future, and if we do we will tell you before it applies to your account.
Self marking, lesson notes, question practice, attempt history and analytics do not consume AI checks. We may apply fair-use limits to prevent automated or abusive consumption of AI checks.
Termination
You can stop using Kognitiv Learn and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, misuse the platform, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.
Limitation of liability
Kognitiv Learn is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, exam results, or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform develops. We will post changes on this page and update the date above; significant changes will be flagged in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
